Employee Highlight: Paul Cheng
Mr. Paul Cheng, Sr. Consultant for Accenx Technologies, Inc., began his employment with the company in 1999. He has provided extensive migration, architect, training, and implementation work with both Datagate and eGate interfaces for nationwide healthcare facilities, including Baystate Health System, University of Pennsylvania Health, Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center, Cambridge Health Alliance, The Cleveland Clinic, as well as Nike in the retail industry . In his role, he has gained technical consulting experience over the past 8 years helping hospital systems migrate from DataGate 3.X to eGate 4.X and eGate SRE. He has led most of his migration projects as the architect and often steps up to the role of Project Manager. Paul has developed interfaces for numerous healthcare products, including Cerner, McKesson, IDX, TDS, and Databases using DART. Paul also has experience working with and interfacing to non-healthcare products such as SAP, I2, and Mapper.
Paul’s educational credentials include a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from California State University, Los Angeles. Paul carries thirteen years of experience and expertise working with Datagate and eGate providing implementation support. Prior to Accenx, Paul entered the healthcare IT field at Softwares Technologies Corporation (SeeBeyond) beginning as a QA Technician, testing for bugs and creating test plans for DataGate 2.6 to DataGate3.1.2. Later in his career at SeeBeyond, he moved from QA to Tech Support where he had multiple responsibilities including training new Tech Support employees, install the OS and configure demo systems for the SeeBeyond sales team, managing support tickets, and continue assistance to the QA team.
Beginning in May, Paul will be working long-term for St. Charles Medical Center (Cascade) in Oregon, helping them re-architect their entire interface system, implement new interfaces, and take an active role in the implementation of their new HIS from McKesson.
Paul married his high-school sweetheart, Loanne in September 9, 2000, and they have been married for the past 6 ½ years. Together, they have two boys: Ethan (5) and Liam (2).
