Employee Highlight: Peter Yau
Peter Yau is Senior Consultant of Accenx Technologies, Inc., and has been with Accenx since 2000. In this role, he provides extensive development, migration, and implementation work of Datagate and eGate interfaces for some of the top healthcare facilities in the nation, such as, The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Presbyterian Health System, NYU Health, Maimonides Medical Center and University of Pennsylvania Health. He has implemented several EPIC related interface projects at Froedtert & Community Health and is currently working on the development of the Cardiology project which includes the Centricity, MUSE, and Xcelera systems. Over the past ten years, Peter has provided technical consulting knowledge and expertise.
Peter entered the healthcare arena ten years ago when he joined McKesson Corporation, as a technical consultant, followed by Eclipsys Corporation, both doing implementation work with DataGate. Because of his expertise in the field, Peter developed and conducted training classes for DataGate at both McKesson and Eclipsys. Then in 1998, Peter became an independent sub-contractor for Accenx before joining Accenx as a full-time employee in 2000.
Peter’s educational credentials include a Bachelors of Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Before his involvement in the healthcare industry, Peter’s career started with Intergraph Corporation, where he worked as an Application Support Engineer. There, he provided support for the AcePlus application for Printed Circuit Board Design for various clients. Later, he was brought on board with Glenayre Electronics, where he was a Field Engineer, providing technical support for telecommunication systems. This included on-site installation of hardware and software, and wrote programs for call processes.
