RyTRAK ENHANCES VISION AT THE HIMSS 2003 CONFERENCE & EXHIBITION

It was that time of year, when the who's who in Healthcare Information Technology come together to discuss pressing issues, showcase the latest solutions and get a peek at the hottest technological developments, at the annual Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Conference and Exhibition. Held in San Diego, California, February 9 - 13, 2003, the Conference boasted 15% growth in attendance numbers from the previous year, with more than 19,000 attendees, from more than 40 countries and 686 exhibitors. Keynote Speakers including former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Jeffrey R. Immelt, chairman and CEO of General Electric encouraged healthcare organizations to harness technology effectively and efficiently to provide optimal patient care. With 200 educational sessions offered, surveyed HIMSS attendees claimed that implementing technology to reduce medical errors and promote patient safety was a top priority, with implementing HIPAA a few steps behind.
